Aaliyah Dana Haughton and Aarti Mann

Aaliyah Daniel Haughton exploded to stardom in 1994 with her debut album Age Ain't Nothing But A Numer. The singer was only 15 at the time and the album was later renamed Gold. R. Kelly was a major influence on this collaboration which brought her into the limelight. In 1996 Jermaine and Timbaland came out with Aaliyah's sophomore album One In A Million. The album contained the single If Your Girls Only Knew the single that was most popular. Aaliyah became a household name as an R&B artist following the release of her second album One In A Million. Aaliyah appeared alongside legendary Jet-Li, the famous martial artist in Romeo Must Die (2000) which was an action-packed romantic film. Joel Silver, the film producer, met her at the awards ceremony and kindly offered her this part. In 2002, she appeared part of the film vampire Queen of the Damned based on the Anne Rice book. She then got into the Matrix in the form of Zee on The Matrix Sequels having also been in The Matrix Reloaded in 2003 as well as The Matrix Revolutions in the same year. She began her acting career as a minor actor in TV and film roles, but her popularity increased in the mid 2000s. She has also appeared in Leverage, Suits, Grey's Anatomy and Grey's Anatomy. The actress has also been featured in major commercials featuring brands like Volvo which is an international automobile maker. The actress lives with her family in Los Angeles with her husband and daughter. She continues to pursue her acting profession.
